Helena Dollimore MP Launches campaign to improve playgrounds

Helena Dollimore MP has launched a new campaign to improve local playgrounds for children across Hastings, Rye and the villages.

With many playgrounds in the area closing or falling into disrepair, Helena is campaigning for local councils and housing associations to bring these spaces back into use.

Helena said:

“Every child deserves a safe space to play, explore, and be themselves. But I’ve spoken to parents in Hastings, Rye and the villages who tell me they need to take two buses to get to their nearest playground. We need to ensure that our housing associations deliver on their responsibility to local children and that local councils do their part to make this a reality."
